After reading some advice from other people who have mixed their own nail polishes, I made sure that the polish I used had a metal ball in it to help mix the pigments in and keep them from getting stuck to the bottom of the bottle later. Here's the polish that I used:
It's an old limited edition color from Cover Girl called Lilac Allure. It is very similar to Gray's Anatomy by Wet & Wild, which I also have in my collection. They are both pretty, but the color is also really sheer.
Oddly enough, the colors that I wanted to use for this Franken were similar in tone to the polish, so it worked out well.
I used sample baggies of Aromaleigh Rocks! glam glitter in Shakeitup, Meow Wild Child eye shadow in ROFL, and a TKB mica in Ballad Blue.

Here's what I ended up with:
It didn't change the color of the polish a lot, but it did make it a lot more opaque, and I like the flecks of glitter that were added. It was a fun way to use up some colors that I liked but wouldn't necessarily wear on my face. I haven't tried it out on my nails yet because I only paint my toenails, and I don't paint them as often as I should.
